Something to smile about for sure! Best British Car Award went to Carol for her pristine 1968 Austin Healey. The BCCCB attended the ever growing, 3rd annual Antique and Custom Car Show at Sydney's centre 200 and our little club held it's own against some very beautiful, older American autos that attended. Our great club didn't have the same number of participants as other years but with the showing of some great and rare autos, we were very popular indeed with the public. Introducing below, for it's first showing, is Norm and Joan Connors 1980 Pagent Blue MGB. This very low mileage MGB was in storage, sitting in as new condition for many many years and Norm talked the owner into parting with his prize MG. This car is flawless and I am sure Norm and Joan will enjoy many years driving around in this great looking car. Next to that is Alan Hayter's Jensen Interceptor. This rare black beauty has nestled under the hood, a ground shaking Chrysler 440. When was the last time you seen one of these passing you on the highway?

Below we have Julian's great looking bright yellow Spitfire, here for the first time, sporting his new lettering package on his boot lid and bonnet. We'll get a better pic of that in an upcoming story and beside Julian we have another show first, Ricky and Sharon's rare Austin Cambridge.  Yes the Austin is rare but what I like about Ricky and Sharon is that they allow those who are interested in the car, to sit in it to see exactly what the car feels like. In the photo below a young fellow get the chance to see what it's like from the drivers seat. I am sure that Ricky and Sharon put a smile on this guys face.

Lets see, what can I say about the two characters in the next photo, Joe and Rick. After seeing Joe's Bugeye project this winter and knowing the work that Ricky is capable of, these two are an asset to our great club. If they don't have what they are looking for they will make it. These two, I am sure have grease in their veins by now after years of working in their back yards on their newest projects. As for personalities .. well if your on their good side and you have a problem, these two can have it fixed in s jiffy, or at least give you the part you need to get you up and running. Next photo to that is Joe's Bugeye Project looking great and running like a top. There is more to a show then just parking your car so people can see your pride and joy, a display always helps to enhance the car. Here, Joe set up a picnic display and if you think about it, what a great car to take your special someone to a nice spot and spread out a blanket for a little vino and perhaps some Bruschetta.

Sharon was our "Johnny on the spot" photographer for the day and she did one heck of a job. The next two photos are of a couple of entries in the car show. The I.W.K.  Race car that is to be driven by Reagan Smith at the Riverside Speedway's "I.W.K. 250" held on July 16/17, and one of the motorcycle entries. The "Stone Coal" motorcycle was painted as a memorial to the owners father who was once a miner. What a great tribute to a miner and one's dad.

Lets get back to Carol Shall we. She went from giving out food in the food area to receiving an award for her great looking car. Well deserved Carol! A huge BCCCB congratulation from all your friends at the BCCCB.

Another great show and we had so many first time showers. This should show you that this little club will soon lose the word "little" that I keep using to describe it, we're growing all the time. Now why wouldn't you join such a great club. There's no politics or hassles... just good times. Come along next time.

Thanks Sharon for the photos. Without them there would be no story.
